FARMS & ORCHARDS
Allman Farms is a family owned operation that was established in the 1930’s. Produce has always been sold at the farm but when trucks were purchased we were able to travel to open farmers markets, and continue to do so today. Kontos Fruit Company has helped to distribute our products to many other locations. We are firm believers in Buy Fresh, Buy Local.
Over the years we have grown many different types of vegetables with tomatoes having always been on the farm. We have an orchard, which consist of peaches, pears, apples, plums, and nectarines. On our farm we are committed to producing safe products by using good agriculture practices and good handling practices that focus on food safety and quality regulated by the USDA.
Our Family
Daniel & Amy
Daniel & Amy are the backbones of the farm. Daniel grew up farming alongside his father and grandfather. When he married Amy in 1991 they continued the farm and chose to raise a family. They have grown the business to what it is today. Daniel's motto is "Farming by Faith", and he has passed this down to each generation.
Destiny & Colby
Destiny is the daughter of Daniel & Amy. She was raised helping on the farm but decided to work off the farm after high school graduation. Several years later, after completing her degree at UAB and working elsewhere, she made the move back to the farm. In 2019 she married her husband Colby. Today you can find them living on the farm with their children Jackson & Della.
Chance & Mary Clair
Chance is the son of Daniel & Amy. He has worked on the farm his whole life and knew this is what he wanted to do. In 2019, he married Mary Clair and they live on the farm with their daughter Sadie-Mae. You can find both Chance and Mary Clair working on the farm.
